A spoon lifts a thick ribbon of glossy vegan date caramel from a glass jar on a wooden board. Coconut flakes and Medjool dates surround this creamy 2-ingredient, refined sugar-free caramel sauce that's perfect for dipping fruit, drizzling over desserts, or stirring into coffee.

The Best 2 Ingredient Vegan Date Caramel

Katie
This Vegan Date Caramel is a rich, silky caramel sauce made with just two simple ingredients and naturally sweetened. It's smooth, stretchy, and comes together in minutes for a caramel-like consistency you can spoon over anything—Vegan, dairy-free, refined-sugar-free, gluten-free, made only with whole food ingredients.

Notes

Warm Your Coconut Butter First: If your coconut butter is firm, set the jar in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes so it stirs together easily without a lot of time or effort. I like to use 1 whisk and a hand mixer to mix old coconut butter. Just make sure the jar is only ¾ of the way full and hold the jar tightly to avoid splatter!
