This kidney-cleansing juice recipe combines the best ingredients for kidney health into a refreshing and nutrient-packed drink while aiding in detoxification. It bursts with fresh fruit and vegetables and is absolutely delicious—vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar-free, nut-free, and oil-free.

This Delicious Kidney Cleansing Detox Juice is one of the easiest and most delicious ways to support your health and get essential nutrients to maintain a healthy kidney function.  No matter the time of day, it's one of those juice recipes that's easy to make and a drink you look forward to!

I’ve been incorporating healthy smoothies and detox juices into my daily routine for a while now. It's not just about consuming highly nutritious fresh produce, but it's all about how they make me feel—hydrated, energized, and support my overall health over time. 

And, of course, I want them to taste great. Just like my Cold Pressed Carrot Beet Juice or Liver Cleansing Detox Juice, this is another delicious red drink that's a keeper. The ingredients are carefully selected to create a natural diuretic juice that helps eliminate excess water and waste products—a big deal for maintaining healthy kidneys! Ingredients To Make This Kidney Detox Juice: 

Here's what you need to make this incredible cleansing detox juice. Note that I have left some links to the ingredients in case you are curious about their health benefits and how these ingredients can fit into your total wellness.

  • Cranberries: Known for supporting bladder problems, cranberries are an excellent base for kidney cleansing juice. Plus, any leftovers can be used to make my Vegan Cranberry Orange Muffins.
  • Blueberries: Packed with antioxidants, they help reduce oxidative stress and support overall health.
  • Apples: Sweet and hydrating, apples also help regulate blood sugar levels and contribute to kidney health. Go for the red sweet apples of your choice, but green apples like in my Collard Mint Green Juice can also work.
  • Beet (Optional): Beets are great for liver-cleansing juicing recipes and kidney detox, but they’re high in oxalates, which can contribute to kidney stone formation. Skip it if you are prone to kidney stones.
  • Black Grapes: A natural diuretic that helps eliminate excess water and supports healthy kidneys.
  • Bell Pepper: High in citric acid and essential nutrients, it adds a tangy twist and aids in kidney detox. Try also my amazing Sweet Bell Pepper Juice.
  • Pomegranate: Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, it promotes kidney function and reduces potential infection.

How To Make This Fresh Juice: 

You can enjoy this juice in no time. Here's what to do.

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly. Peel the beet (if using), seed the bell pepper, and remove the pomegranate seeds.
  2. Set Up the Juicer & Juice: Add cranberries, blueberries, and grapes into the juicer first. Followed with apples, beet, bell pepper, and pomegranate seeds.
  3. Mix and Serve: Stir the juice to combine flavors evenly. Pour into glasses and enjoy.

Top Tips: 

Despite the simplicity of this recipe, especially if you're using a slow juicer like a Kuving's, I do have a few tips for you.

  • Best To Serve Immediately: Serve the juice immediately after preparation for maximum nutrient intake. This really applies to all juices.
  • Drink First Thing In The Morning: For an energy boost and to kickstart your digestive system, I highly recommend enjoying this on an empty stomach.
  • Use Fresh Organic Produce: Use fresh organic or local produce whenever possible to get the best juice possible.

Variations And Substitutions: 

As with any recipe, you can make this Kidney Cleansing Detox Juice your own. Here are a few of my suggestions.

  • Make It Greener: Swap blueberries and grapes for spinach, parsley, and green apples.
  • Citrusy Boost: Add a splash of orange or lime juice for a tangy twist.
  • Lower Sugar: Replace apples with cucumber (especially if you have leftovers from my Cucumber Mint Juice) and add fresh ginger for extra zing. Use fewer grapes or add a splash of lemon juice.
  • Skip The Beet: Skip the beet if you’re prone to kidney stones.

Storage

I highly recommend enjoying this juice straight from the juicer. However, if you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container or mason jar with a lid in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking to mix any separated layers.

Can I drink this every day?

What’s the best time of day to drink this?

Morning is an ideal time for this juice, as it’s a refreshing way to start your day and support kidney health.

Can I make this ahead? 

Fresh juices are best enjoyed immediately, but you can store them for up to 24 hours in an air-tight container.

Can I make this without a juicer?

 If you don’t have a cold-pressed juicer, you can use a high-speed blender instead. Simply blend the ingredients and strain the mixture through a nut milk bag to remove the pulp.
