Fresh cantaloupe juice is a great way to stay cool and nourished! It's one of my absolute favorite drinks to make when the weather calls for something ultra-refreshing and naturally sweet.
Cantaloupe is that sweet fruit I love enjoying simply sliced with a sprinkle of sea salt. But turning an entire cantaloupe into a tall glass of fresh cantaloupe juice? That's my new favorite way to stay hydrated all summer long, right alongside my Gut-Healthy Papaya Juice. Whether you're lounging poolside, planning a picnic, or just looking to jazz up your daily hydration routine, this muskmelon juice is a refreshing, juicy must-try.

Ingredients To Make This Fresh Cantaloupe Juice:
Here's what you need.
- Ripe Cantaloupe: They're naturally sweet, loaded with vitamin C, and have a high water content that makes this juice so hydrating. These musk melons also deliver a hefty dose of nutrients to support healthy skin and blood pressure balance.
- Lime Juice (optional): Adds a zesty, citrusy twist that makes the juice even more refreshing. Lime also enhances vitamin C content and brightens the flavor.
- Ice Cubes: Great for serving, especially on a hot day. They turn this juice into an instant chilled treat.
See the recipe card for quantities.
How To Make It:
- Prep the Fruit: Cut the cantaloupe in half, scoop out the seeds, and slice the flesh into long, juicer-friendly chunks. No need to peel if you're scooping directly!
- Juice: Feed the cantaloupe chunks into the Kuvings AUTO10 Plus hopper. Thanks to its wide opening and auto-cutting blade, the juicer handles the sweet fruit effortlessly.
- Add Lime (optional): If you love a bit of citrus, stir in the juice of one lime after juicing. It's the perfect bright pop.
- Serve and Store: Pour the fresh cantaloupe juice over ice cubes and add a fancy straw if you like. Enjoy immediately, or chill for later.
Top Tips:
- Use Fully Ripe Cantaloupe: The sweeter, the better. Smell for a fragrant, sweet aroma at the stem end.
- Scoop The Flesh: Cut the melon in half, remove the seeds, and use a spoon or melon scraper to scoop out the flesh so you don't have the peel. It's much faster to juice this way. Just make sure that the pieces are small enough to fit into the hopper.
- Chill: You can chill the cantaloupe in the fridge before juicing or serve your juicy drink with some ice cubes. You can also prep the juice in advance and let it chill in the fridge before serving.
Variations And Substitutions:
The variations and subs are endless here, but here are some of my favorite suggestions.
- Coconut Cantaloupe: Add a splash of coconut water for a tropical vibe.
- Make it Creamy: Stir in a splash of plant-based milk for a creamy treat. Try my Homemade Hazelnut Milk.
- No Lime? Lemon juice works, too.
- Melon: You can use the same process to make honeydew juice, or try juicing a more unique melon like a Santa Claus Melon. Never had one? Check out my Weird Fruit Wednesday Video all about them!
Storage:
This fresh cantaloupe juice is best enjoyed immediately for peak flavor and maximum nutrients. However, it can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Shake or stir before serving, as separation is natural.
Equipment Needed:
- Kuvings AUTO10 Plus Juicer: If you are a regular juicer, I highly recommend investing in this amazing tool. It's my absolute favorite for making fresh juice, and it makes the whole process so easy and super simple. It also wastes nothing and squeezes out every last drop of your fresh produce. Use code NATURALVEGAN at checkout for a discount.
- Cutting Board & Knife: To prep the fruits.
- Melon Scraper or Spoon: To scoop out the flesh.
- Fancy Straw and Tall Glass: For serving (optional, but fun!).
Recipe FAQs:
Cantaloupe is naturally sweet, but it's also low in calories and high in water content, making it a great option even if you're watching your sugar intake. Always consider your personal consumption and dietary needs.
A food processor can work, but it won't give you the same smooth texture as a slow juicer like the Kuvings AUTO10 Plus. You may need to strain the pulp afterward.
Cantaloupe is rich in vitamin C, supports the immune system, helps maintain healthy blood pressure, and hydrates thanks to its high water content. And it's simply delicious.
