This breakfast apple crisps recipe is the perfect plant based breakfast to make for whenever you are craving dessert for breakfast. Not only is this breakfast apple crisp recipe oil-free, gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and vegan/dairy-free, but it also contains a hidden vegetable thanks to Full Green's Best Morning Ever!

WOO! I am so excited to be sharing a dessert for breakfast recipe with you guys! I am a huge fan of sweet breakfast recipes. Like, I will pick a sweet breakfast over a savory one any day of the week. It's a win win when it's a recipe like these breakfast apple crisps that manage to be sweet and delicious and sneak in a hidden vegetable. You guys know I love sneaking in vegetables into my sweets, so when the opportunity to work with Fullgreen presented itself, I was so excited. What makes these Breakfast apple crisps so healthy?

Well my friends, if there's one vegetable that is a true chameleon I think we can all agree that it is the humble cauliflower. That's right, this breakfast apple crisps recipe contains a whole serving of cauliflower thanks to Full Greens delicious Best Morning Ever. This shelf stable breakfast vegetable mix is sweet and filling, and is made without any oats, gluten, or refined sugars. That's my kind of breakfast right there! I love eating these breakfasts as is, but when I really have a sweet tooth I can't shake, I make these breakfast apple crisps!

Can I make this recipe paleo?

Yes, absolutely! Since the Full Green Best Morning ever is made without grains, it can be eaten as is if you are eating paleo. Since these breakfast apple crisps contain oats they are not paleo. However with a few simple changes this recipe can be made paleo. Sub out the oats for extra shredded coconut and nuts, or almond flour. You may have to play around with this a little, but it shouldn't be too difficult!

  • Apples
  • Fullgreen Best Morning Ever
  • Oats
  • Coconut
  • Pecans
  • Cinnamon
  • Ground flaxseed
  • Chia Seeds
  • Applesauce
  • Vanilla extract
  • Vegan yogurt

Equipment

  • 1 oven safe dish

Ingredients
  

For the filling:

  • 1 package Full Green Apple and Cinnamon Best Morning Ever
  • 1 apple

For the Crumble:

  • ¼ cup oats
  • ½ tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ½ cup applesauce
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Dice the apple up and combine with Fullgreen Best Morning Ever. Pour into oven safe dish.
  • Make crumble by simply combining all ingredients together and mixing. Crumble on top of the apple mixture and bake for 35 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
