Indulgence meets simplicity in this delightful 3-ingredient SunButter Vegan fudge recipe. This easy vegan fudge recipe is a delicious treat that celebrates the rich and nutty flavor of sunflower seed butter and the delicious creaminess of homemade fudge. It is made with three simple ingredients and is guaranteed to be a hit this holiday season!
Traditional fudge is great; however, if you're not a huge chocolate lover, it may not be that exciting to you. I personally don't love classic fudge and have always preferred creamy and nutty fudge recipes due to the added flavor. That's why recipes like my Protein Fudge and Matcha Fudge feature delicious nut butter. Since I already have plenty of nutty fudge recipes, I thought it was time to create the perfect nut-free vegan fudge recipe!

Vegan Sunbutter Fudge Ingredients:
This is a great recipe because it is super easy to make and uses simple ingredients you can pick up from your local grocery store.
- Sunbutter No Sugar Added Sunflower Seed Butter - Sunbutter serves as the rich and creamy base for the fudge mixture, providing a delightful nutty flavor. It adds a smooth texture and a depth of richness to each bite. Sunbutter is a great source of healthy fats, including monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. It also contributes plant-based protein, vitamin E, and essential minerals like magnesium. Additionally, it's free from added sugars, making it a wholesome choice.
- Sugar-Free Vegan Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk - The sugar-free vegan sweetened condensed milk acts as the sweetener and binder for the fudge, creating a smooth and creamy texture. It often contains plant-based sweeteners like stevia or erythritol, providing sweetness without the impact on blood sugar levels.
- Vegan White Chocolate Chips - Vegan white chocolate chips add sweetness and a luxurious melt-in-your-mouth quality to the fudge. They contribute to the fudge's overall flavor and appearance. You can either use vegan chocolate chips or a vegan chocolate bar. I find that it's easier to find naturally sweetened vegan white chocolate bars. However, both are great options.
- Vanilla Extract (optional) - If you prefer a more neutral taste, you can add a splash of vanilla extract to this vegan fudge recipe.

How To Make This Easy Vegan Fudge Recipe:
This delicious vegan fudge recipe is great because it can be made in one bowl and only takes about 5 minutes of hands-on work.
- Prepare a Pan:
- Line a square pan or loaf pan (my recommendation) with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Melt Chocolate:
- You can melt the vegan chocolate chips in a microwave or with a double boiler. If you use a microwave, make sure to use a microwave-safe bowl and melt for 15 second intervals to prevent burning.
- Mix Ingredients:
- Add the sweetened condensed coconut milk, SunButter, and melted chocolate together in a large bowl and mix until smooth and creamy.
- Pour:
- Pour the fudge mixture into a loaf pan.
- Smooth the Top:
- Use a silicone spatula to smooth the top of the melted fudge, ensuring an even layer.
- Chill:
- Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and let the fudge chill for at least 2-3 hours or until it's set.
- Cut into Squares:
- Once the fudge is completely set, lift it out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang.
- Place it on a cutting board and cut it into squares or desired shapes.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Your vegan SunButter fudge is ready to be enjoyed! Serve it at room temperature for a softer texture or chilled for a firmer bite.
Hint: This fudge won't set quite as hard as regular fudge. Therefore I recommend keeping it chilled rather than at room temperature.
Substitutions:
If you need to substitute one of the main ingredients in this vegan fudge recipe, there are a handful of easy substitutions that can be made to this recipe. Here are some of the common ones.
- Nut Butter - If you need/want to use something other than SunButter, you can use any nut butter. Almond butter, coconut butter, cashew butter, and natural peanut butter are all great options. I personally love the flavor of SunButter, so I wouldn't recommend using anything else. However, if you need to, you can!
- Condensed Milk - If you're not vegan, you don't have to use sweetened condensed coconut milk; you can use regular. However, I think it compliments the flavor of the SunButter perfectly.
If you have any questions about a particular substitution not listed, make sure to leave a comment, and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible!
SunButter Fudge Variations:
I love this easy fudge recipe because there are so many fun and delicious variations that can be made since it is such a simple recipe. Here are some of my favorite ways to mix it up.
- Dark Chocolate - If you prefer dark chocolate over white chocolate, you can use dark chocolate chips and cacao powder for a more traditional fudge. I recommend using the chocolate chips as a 1:1 substitute and adding a tablespoon of cocoa powder.
- Crunchy - You can add some sunflower seed or any nut of choice to the fudge mixture for a delicious added crunch.
- Sea Salt - Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the fudge before it sets to enhance the flavors and add a touch of sophistication.
What You Need To Make The Best Vegan Fudge:
This easy recipe is great because it requires very little equipment to make. Here's what I recommend having on hand.
- Large Bowl - You will need a large mixing bowl for mixing all the fudge ingredients together.
- Double Boiler or Microwave-safe bowl - You will need something to melt the white chocolate chips in.
- Pan - You can either use a loaf pan or a square pan. I recommend using a loaf pan because it will fill completely.
- Parchment Paper - This makes it super easy to remove the vegan fudge from the pan.
As always, you can find all my go-to equipment on my Amazon storefront or my affiliate page.
How To Store This Vegan Fudge Recipe:
I recommend storing this fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for best results. I would not recommend leaving it out at room temperature for extended periods of time. If stored properly, this SunButter Fudge will keep for up to 3 weeks.
Top Tip:
Make sure to slowly melt the vegan chocolate chips if you are melting them in the microwave. It's super easy to burn vegan chocolate, so I recommend melting it slowly.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Yes, you can add natural food coloring to achieve a festive appearance without compromising the flavor or texture.
The easiest fudge recipe for beginners is a fudge recipe that does not require a candy thermometer and doesn't require stovetop cooking. I recommend making a fudge recipe like this with simple ingredients that can be made in a mixing bowl.
