Fresh juice is one of the easiest and most delicious ways to start incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your diet. Although investing in a quality cold-pressed juicer is something I frequently encourage, making fresh juices doesn't have to be hard. It can be as simple as mixing a couple of ingredients together. This is a great way to start eating more fruits and vegetables without a huge upfront investment.

Alkaline Green Juice Ingredients:
This alkaline juice recipe is one of my favorites because it only requires a few simple ingredients you can easily order online or pick up at your local grocery store.
- Wilderness Poets Alkalizing Super Greens Powder - This powder is a nutritional powerhouse, combining nutrient-dense greens like spirulina, chlorella, kale, Astragalus, barley grass, oat grass, alfalfa grass and wheat grass. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, it supports alkalinity in the body by balancing ph levels, aids detoxification, and promotes overall well-being. If you're interested in investing in this greens powder, you can use my code: "NATURALVEGAN" for $10 off your purchase of $49 or more!
- Wilderness Poets Organic Coconut Water Powder - Coconut water powder is an excellent source of electrolytes, particularly potassium. It helps in hydration, supports heart health, and replenishes essential minerals lost through sweat, making it a perfect addition to your green juice for natural refreshment. Not only is it extremely healthy, but it also adds delicious coconut flavor and natural sweetness. Again, you can use my code "NATURALVEGAN" for all of your Wilderness Poets purchases.
- Filtered Water - Hydration is fundamental to overall health, and using filtered water ensures a clean and pure base for your green juice. I always recommend investing in a home water filtration system.
- Fresh Pressed Pineapple Juice - Pineapple juice adds a burst of tropical flavor along with essential nutrients. It contains bromelain and live enzymes with anti-inflammatory properties that aid digestion. Pineapple is also rich in vitamin C, manganese, and antioxidants, supporting immune health and overall vitality. Although pineapple is an acidic fruit, it does make the list of alkaline foods.
- Lemon - Lemons are a fantastic alkalizing ingredient despite their acidic taste. Packed with vitamin C, they boost the immune system, aid digestion, and contribute to the overall alkalinity of the body. The citrusy flavor enhances the taste of the green juice while providing a refreshing zing.

This recipe is great for anyone and everyone looking to improve their overall health because it requires hardly any equipment to make, and it is so delicious!
To make your Alkaline Green Juice recipe, you'll need the following equipment:
- High-Speed Blender or Juicer (OPTIONAL):
- A high-speed blender or juicer is essential for making homemade fresh juice. This is completely optional! If you don't have either, don't worry; you can use store-bought juice, and it will work perfectly!
- Shaker Bottle or Jar with Lid (Optional):
- If you prefer a more portable option or want to mix the green juice ingredients thoroughly, a shaker bottle or jar with a tight-fitting lid can be convenient.

How To Store This Alkaline Green Juice:
Storing your Alkaline Green Juice properly ensures that it stays fresh and retains its nutritional value. Here's how you can store it:
- Refrigeration:
- After preparing the Alkaline Green Juice, transfer it to an airtight container or a glass bottle with a tight-sealing lid.
- Immediate Consumption or Short-Term Storage:
- Consuming the juice immediately after preparation is best for the best taste and highest nutrient content. Store it in the refrigerator if you plan to drink it within 24 hours.
- Longer Storage:
- If you need to store the juice for a longer period, consider freezing it in ice cube trays. Once frozen, transfer the juice cubes to a freezer bag. This method helps preserve the freshness and nutritional quality for extended periods.
- Avoid Air Exposure:
- Air exposure can lead to oxidation, which may degrade the quality of the juice over time. Ensure the storage container is filled to the top to minimize air contact.
- Glass Containers:
- If possible, use glass containers for storage as they are less likely to leach chemicals into the juice and are also more resistant to staining and odor retention.
- Labeling:
- If you prepare larger batches, consider labeling the storage container with the date of preparation. This helps you keep track of freshness and ensures you consume the juice within its optimal period.
- Thawing Frozen Juice:
- If you freeze the juice, transfer the desired amount of juice cubes to the refrigerator the night before consumption. Allow them to thaw slowly, preserving the juice's quality.
- Shake or Stir Before Consuming:
- Before drinking the stored juice, give it a good shake or stir. This helps recombine any separated elements and ensures a consistent taste.
Remember that while storing the juice, some separation may occur, and the vibrant color may fade slightly. However, as long as the juice smells fresh and doesn't show signs of spoilage, it should be safe to consume. Always trust your senses when assessing the freshness of stored juice.
Top Tip:
Greens are great because you really can't have too many of them. I recommend adjusting the amount of green powder you use based on your personal preference.
Frequently Asked Questions:
The alkalizing effect of alkaline green juice recipes is attributed to alkaline-forming foods like leafy greens and vegetables, which, when metabolized, may leave alkaline residues. This potential alkaline influence is believed to help balance the body's pH levels.
The concept of rapidly or dramatically alkalizing the body is not scientifically supported. However, some suggest consuming alkaline-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, and certain grains. Drinking water with lemon or baking soda is also recommended by some, but it's essential to note that the body regulates its pH naturally, and extreme changes can have adverse effects. Always consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.
The body's pH level can be assessed using pH testing strips on urine or saliva. These strips change color based on the pH level, with a range typically from 0 to 14. A pH of 7 is considered neutral, below 7 is acidic, and above 7 is alkaline. However, these methods may not precisely reflect the pH of the body's internal organs, as they can vary. It's essential to consult with healthcare professionals for accurate assessments and to consider overall health indicators rather than relying solely on pH testing.
